QLD Child Protection Week 2024

The 1st to the 7th of September 2024 was Queensland Child Protection Week (QCPW), and St Patrick's spent the week raising awareness with many fun activities. The theme for 2024 was "Protecting Children is Everybody's Business".

Thank you to Mrs Preston for organising some QCPW activities, such as Butterfly Art, where our students used butterflies to identify their safe people, and our sausage sizzle and Parent Connect cookies/cupcakes for our community, funded by the generosity of the Queensland Child Protection Week Grant. Thank you to our staff for their commitment and support in incorporating QCPW into their classroom learning and for their hard work during our sausage sizzle.

We were very grateful to have two representatives from the Nanango Police Service join us for our Child Protection Week assembly. Their presence and participation in leading a discussion on online safety, sharing valuable tips and insights, and emphasising the importance of community vigilance, was truly appreciated.

At St Patrick's, we are unwavering in our commitment to advocating for child safety. We believe in the importance of each of us playing our part in protecting the children in our community, and we will continue to uphold this belief.
